As I glance at my budget, I notice that I am one run away from falling in a financial mudpit!  In my anxiousness to sign-up for every 5K run I could handle, I forgot that I have a household to maintain.  Yet to my surprise, and thanks to BGR Sisters, I found  out about VIRTUAL RUNs!!!  These runs are completed at your own leisure and guess what...THEY ARE CHEAPER, and support a CAUSE!!!  I am currently looking at two for August...

  1. Barking Mad About Breast Cancer Virtual 10K!
  2. The Great Cupcake Race!
Again, hopefully this will cure my need to RUN RUN RUN, without continuing to rip a hole in my purse!

What do you do to get your run fix and not break the bank?  Suggestions welcomed!

So, what is going on????
  • My DD had another wonderful bday party this year for her 7th! I have decided that there will never be another overdone celebration like the ones we have had.  This wonderful party was held at EXPENSIVE-HIDDEN IN THE HILLS-BOUNCY Land.  I have protected the name from the innocent.  DD had over 32 kids and PARENTS (that stayed and wanted to eat)!!! OMG...We could have travelled to France for cheaper.  Even though it sounds bad, I am thankful that we have such wonderful friends and family that want to share in our momentous occasions!
  • I am currently working to complete my training in EITI-Eagles International Training Institute For Dance Ministers! I am diving into the word of God so that I am able to minister His word effectively!  See Definition from Website below. Once I am back on track with my homework ;-), I will be able to share what I have learned during this time!
The Eagles International Training Institute for dance ministers is a One-year intense, in-depth training program for those who desire to go to the next level in their ministry and grow in their relationship with our Lord Jesus. Should you meet all of the requirements, your year may culminate by becoming a licensed minister under Set Free Ministries.

  • I am not seeking licensure at this time, but feel a calling on my life to Minister the word...Hold on, stay with me and see where this goes :-).
  • We are preparing for Shake The Nations-Where all people across the world are going to unite in dance!  You must join us irregardless of dance background.  It will be an AWESOME time in the LORD!! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

    • I am a new RUNNER!!! I began my running fun with BGR!!! and I love it! The only problem is childcare in the morning when we go :-(.  It is okay, I am making it work and love how my body feels post run!! As I mentioned before...I was trying to enter a contest and realized that my blog was (gasp) abandoned...the contest is for a Muddy Run!! Doesn't that sound like fun!!  The Pretty Muddy is coming up really soon, and I am gathering friends now!!  However, this is one of the more costly runs of the ones I plan to do, sooooo that is why I entered A Stay At Home Mom's Pretty Muddy Contest!!!... So, as I train, complain and grow into this season, I will definitely keep you in the loop.
    • I am also trying to keep a Happiness journal as discussed on OWN!! I look forward to seeing my end result...

So, FystyMama is back-Running On-Ready to see what the end is going to BE!

It is Wordless Wednesday, but a new MOG I met on Twitter Minister Hanchell @TWH_PhD has also appropriately named it Soul Winning Wednesday!  There has been a lot of POWERFUL PRAYER this past week through internet based connections!  Since I have been so fortunate to just fellowship with others through the blogging and twitter use, I want to bask in this PEACE!

    Resting in His Promise
One day just try something new, it doesn't have to be a big or death defying act.  It is that step in Faith that moves you closer to God!

I have been bitten by the Twitterbug! This overwhelming, time snatching program has spread like a virus and has infected by entire lifestyle!  I talk with #hashtags and even when I send an email, I use the @person format, even though I know the message will not suddenly appear in their inbox.  I know I am late, but I was "one of those" that would never do something like "tweet"...Oh well!

Through snooping on various peoples TLs (timelines) I found that Tweetdeck allows me to not only view what is going on in my Twitlife, but also my facebook life!!! WoW! I also added the app to my phone, so I am never without a wonderful update on someones life! I can only blame the virus, as twitter overtakes me and makes me scroll through my timeline for hours and hours.

Yes, I am still very careful with my information, but found that this format allows me to be nosey and no one even knows the better!

I must add-Twitter is not only for snooping!  I have also found a lot of  positive things that happen via the many connections one makes on Twitter.  I have had prayer, learned of exciting events in my town, and found information that was very beneficial to my Facebook friends.  One person I am following even said there have been several Twitmarriages and Twitterhookups!
    POWERFUL!!

    My Newfound TwitterFavs:
    1. #Tworship- This sensational idea is from Richard Mayhan or @mcProdigal.  You go to a website at the designated time and listen to Praise and Worship music and Tweet your praises.  It is awesome!
    2. Positive Tweets-I am following several Pastors, public speakers, and just lovers of God which makes my TL mindblowing. My favs thus far are (in no particular order):
        1. @NatalieSGrayson
        2. @rob4scripture
        3. @LifeVerse
        4. @catherinefru
        5. @visadklline
        6. @BishopJakes

    3. My News Tweeting at all times of the night and morning fav is @KevinMinott (hopefully I grow from his assistance!)
    4. My Fav Tweeter Friend (friend also IRL) but didn't know me in the "Twitter world" is @LittleTechGirl-Great tips for those that can keep up! I promise I am getting there
So, I hope this information helps-so you too can become Twitfected by theTwitterbug!
It has been a hectic time in my life! DD just graduated from Kindergarten, which to most would not be a major problem, however most do not have a such a special 6 year old~

The problem began with DD's wonderful 6th birthday! I tell you the cost to host something at B Zone is enough to feed a small village. Nevertheless, after many days of waiting for RSVPs, on May 11 we had over 22 kids celebrate with Ms. T.

SIDEBAR------> I think parents have to stop using RSVP on the invite and clearly state "I am paying $10 a child for this party-if you can or cannot attend let me know.  I am on Twitter Facebook and see you as we drop off our children at school/church/Girl Scouts.  I also live in a location accessible by carrier pigeons".  Maybe then we would have a decent head count before the party begins.

SIDEBAR #2-----> God Knows I am not cheap, but when did parents stay and eat food faster than the invited children? One parent even ordered more cups from the Party HOST!!! This was not to replace the family dinner

Anyway, the cake was awesome, the magician was late, but Ms. T received over $400 in gifts and the magical (cue background angels on harps) CELLPHONE!  YES my DD's wonderful father gave her the ultimate gift that trumped all other gifts.  DD even asked me "So where is your present for me mommy?"!

Yes! That is when the drama began my DD became a monster. She would wake up in the morning and call everyone and anyone that would answer.  Her older sister said "I will call you back in 5 minutes".  DD watched the clock feverishly-waited 5 mins and called her back.  After checking the call log I found that she actually redialed that number 6 times within 10 minutes.

Her dad calls and we hear "Its My Daddy on the Phone ring tone" over and over and over...

Yet, in the midst of my complaining, I was soon provided the overall reason why I let her keep the phone.  On May 17, 2011, DD called me from the van of her aftercare provider (thank God I was in my office) and told me the driver left her in the van alone.  We talked for about 5minutes while she described the location and tried to spell the store he had gone in. I remained calm (again the GRACE of GOD) so she would be calm and when he returned I hung up and proceeded to contact him.

Now, as you may know, I do overreact sometimes, but I had "heard" from DD that he would step away from the van, but he always said he remained in view of the van and she was fine.  Today I had proof that he was not in eyesight and was gone a long time.

I called him (again still calm) and asked if he had left DD in the van.  When he immediately yelled instead of answering the question, I received my answer.

DD did not return-Thank God for the cellphone!

It has been a loooong while since I have had the opportunity to write, blog, or even sit without some nagging voice or email pulling me away (damn google alert lab)! It is time for me to come back as I have had so many things happening that I just can't tell it all!
    1. My DYS-Darling younger Sister-for those thinking son, is getting married in less than 2 months. This is important to share as we just began planning. I say we because---WE (mom/me) had to jump in because ummmm... time was passing and she just sent out save the date notices (last week)??? Nevertheless, I must chronicle that adventure because it has been a laugh riot!

    2. I am transitioning from the Creamy Crack to au natural! It has been a challenge, but in the Tiana voice "I'm Almost There"! I have my test locs in and have to share my journey!
    3. Finally, as the DD gets older, I am slowly realizing I am old!
    4. DD tests for the CPS gifted program and we are waiting and PRAYING for the results to favorable!!

So I've got a lot of work to do, so strap in and away we go!!

Early in October my darling child and I were shopping and she professed with all the strength and air in her lungs, that she needed this doll as we browsed the aisles of Walmart. I laughed and told her that she had a doll like this one, and she quickly replied no I don't I need the potty.

Let me explain. "Baby Alive Learns to Potty" is the item that caused this massive outburst in the middle of Walmart. The doll mommy purchased last year was "Baby Alive Sip and pee" or something like that. All that I know is this wonderful purchase was out of a six dollar pack of pampers before we even finished cleaning up wrapping paper last Christmas. So a definite NO was in my heart and mind about bringing Baby Alive #2 into my house.

Let me tell you why I am questioning my sanity at this point in my life. Remember, that doll was not in any plans in my life. Yet, my child didn't receive that memo so she has repeated the fact that she wants "baby potty" to every living soul that would listen. Not to mention every trip to Wallys we hear about "baby potty". Her D daddy (d can mean darling or damn or dumbass at any point in time, so I will often refer to him as such) asks what is this she keeps talking about because he will get it for her for Christmas. My child excitedly brings him the Super Deluxe Toys R Us book and shows him everything she wants. And because "daddy" is a super hero with all power to do and get anything she wants, my child believes that she is getting all of the toys because she told "daddy". I prayed he would for once handle his business.

Recently, I received a free shipping coupon for Toys R US and they have a promotion for the "baby pott" bonus pack, with extra food and pampers. I call DD and ask him does he have the doll and he said " I got it". His words verbatim. I again asked and he said I will go get it myself don't worry about it. So I let it go. CLUE #1 I know better

Two weeks ago (still no doll purchased by DD) I go to Wallys and the manager says he cant keep baby potty on the shelf. I say oh no. It is over. I go to the TRUS website, the promotion is gone and so is the doll. Sold out.

    Target sold out

    Walmart sold out

Amazon.com has doll but for over $100 for the chocolate, 20$ for the Caucasian (a whole other story). This alerts me to the fact that "everyone" wants this doll.

So finally I call Toys R US and they have had none, but have a truck coming in, and to call back in the morning. I call at 6am they have 10 and cannot hold the doll. I get myself and daughter dressed thinking how will this work? I arrive at TRUS 2 hours later and find the aisle and there are NO chocolate "baby potty" dolls. I start screaming because I am fed up!! I could have had the doll a couple of months ago for 20-30 dollars cheaper and this was not my d@#^ gift!! DD said he could do it himself. Knowing what I know, I couldn't let my baby down, so I took over as usual. CLUE #2

So while I am screaming a lady says just buy the Hispanic doll it is close enough. She said that's t he one she has and it will have to do. LET ME JUST mention, I am in no way saying that I don't like the Caucasian or Hispanic toys, or respect the people and cultures. I just want the baby to resemble my baby. So a friendly associate helps look for the doll especially since I just called 2 hours prior and it was 8am!! So she finds one I clap and dance and point her to the register. CLUE #3

What was my child doing at this point, you ask? Upon entry into TRUS she went into an "I want this frenzy". Yes she was in the aisle as I freaked out, but she was so busy carrying the Hispanic version, she was oblivious to anything I was doing. So as we left to pay for this overpriced toy, she never saw go to the register, she realized there was nothing for her in my hand. She had to leave the Hispanic "potty" and got nothing. So of course she goes into a fit about how "mommy's mean" saying "I don't want you" and I just carried her to the register, saying something about Christmas and bad girls. Clue #4

I still bought the doll and extra food without her knowing anything.

So again, I say tell me who is crazy? I have all the clues, but didn't stop myself from going over the edge. First, I am frugal and always buy in advance. I have toys in my closet for future birthday parties, so why I didn't grab stupid "baby potty" when she was 30$ instead of 60$ is beyond me. Secondly, this is not my d#$% gift!!. Lastly, I firmly believe in discipline and chuckle a little bit when I see the other parents and meltdowns in toy stores. Usually I can look at Miss Thing and the madness will stop. I don't know who or what that was in TRUS.

Hopefully, my foolishness can help you notice your own strange behaviors and prevent you from going over the deep end of in this Christmas madness.

She better like this Doll. And yes, I called DD and made him pay me immediately!
